About the role

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience serving as a Radiological Control Technician protecting shipyard employees through prevention and control of nuclear incidents. Experience performing various phases of complicated radioactive systems projects. Experience assuring compliance with radiological safety requirements and recommending changes to improve the safety and efficiency of procedures. Experience monitoring work and testing procedures of all skill level trades. Experience evaluating various incidents and assume full control of activities, directing necessary emergency actions to contain radiation, minimizing effects, determine causes, correct deficiencies, and identify mitigation practices. GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing radiological evaluations and monitoring work procedures and worksites for proper containment, ventilation, tools, and detection devices. Experience working with the design and layout of Naval Nuclear Propulsion systems to assure radiological safety requirements are met. Experience performing surveys, correcting deficiencies, and mitigating radiological risks. Experience participating in all phases of radiological emergencies. Experience working with radiological principles, requirements, and procedures.
