About the role
Target & Purpose of the Position: Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Operator/Administrator will play a crucial role in the Warehouse function within our Gorey team at Signode. As part of the Supply Chain team, you will play a key role working alongside our Sales, Commercial and Operations functions to ensure the optimal management of supply from sources to customers. Content of position: - Shipment and load processing as material is available for distribution. - Load planning on groupage shipments. - Ensure visitors are recorded for Health & Safety reasons. - Booking of transportation in accordance with carrier agreements and pricing - Preparation of all necessary documents for shipping such as packaging slip, B/L, labels etc. - Responsible for the movement of finished goods to external warehouses. - Inventory movement through management and stock control - Retain records of all Raw materials delivered for invoice processing. - Be responsible for housekeeping & Safety standards in the warehouse and report any issues that arise. - Support the Warehouse Manager where required with other duties or tasks including purchasing. - Research for continuous improvement, shipping, packaging & materials. - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - Forklift license and experience - Proficient in the use of Microsoft word / excel - Experience of continuous improvement
