Workshop Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily workshop operations, including planning, scheduling, and supervising maintenance and repair activities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement, effective resource allocation, and smooth execution of fleet-related projects.
• Monitor and manage fleet maintenance budget and P&L, ensuring cost efficiency, financial control, and optimal resource utilization.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and documentation of all maintenance activities and operational performance.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance fleet reliability.
• Lead, coach, and supervise workshop staff, driving productivity, performance, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Support management in operational planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering, Automotive, Electrical, or a related field.
• Experience in fleet management, vehicle maintenance, or workshop operations, with familiarity in fleet management systems and related tools.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities, lead and supervise teams, and effectively coordinate with stakeholders across all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), with the ability to analyse data and prepare reports.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
• Valid Class 3 driver's license.
