About the role
As a Service Volunteer , you will play an important role in supporting young people accessing Aquarius services in Bedford. Working alongside our practitioners, you will provide practical and emotional support through one-to-one sessions, group activities and community events. Help organise and support community events and engagement activities. Act as a positive ambassador for Aquarius and Waythrough. Build positive, professional relationships with service users and colleagues. Maintain accurate communication and report back on agreed tasks. Adhere to organisational policies, professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times. Attend training, supervision and team meetings as required. About You We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about supporting others. You'll be a good communicator with strong organisational skills and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. You will be non-judgemental, able to maintain professional boundaries and committed to the values of kindness, courage and respect. An interest in supporting young people and a willingness to learn through training and supervision are essential, while good IT and written communication skills will help you succeed in the role.
