Central Plant Operator - Facilities Services

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain central plant equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and related systems.
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on central plant equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and system failures.
• Perform necessary repairs or coordinate and collaborate with other facilities technicians on complex repairs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, and assist in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs, as well as detailed logs of central plant operations and maintenance activities.
• Implement energy-saving measures and strategies to reduce operational costs.

Education & Experience Education and Experience Required: High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience with operating and maintaining boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, utility systems, or industrial mechanical equipment. Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required: Valid Driver's License required.
