About the role
This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be serve as an Administrative Officer for the OHR Director and PSD Director, with broad responsibilities in the areas of administration and support and with responsibility for the coordination and implementation of the DHRA Agency-Wide Awards Program. You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Providing guidance and oversight for all internal and external correspondence; screening, prioritizing, assigning, and tracking inquiries and requests, monitoring progress and reporting status to senior leadership. Overseeing awards program operations to ensure effectiveness and adapting procedures for evolving organizational needs. Providing substantive analysis and recommendations to leadership on administrative operations, priorities, and program effectiveness. Applying established administrative policies, regulations, or procedures to answer inquiries and provide guidance to stakeholders. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
