Job Overview Wargaming is looking for a talented Level Artist to join the World of Tanks Modern Armor team in Belgrade , Nicosia , or Vilnius . You'll help create large-scale, realistic environments for a live AAA console game, shaping immersive battlefields through environment dressing, lighting, and world-building while working closely with artists, designers, and technical specialists. Reports to Art Director What will you do? Create game locations in collaboration with Art Director, Game Designers, 3D artists Fill locations with content: arrange objects, buildings, props, trees, decals, roads, etc. Deal with the layout of tiles and decals, planting grass and debris Setting up lighting Create all kinds of natural objects: trees, bushes, grasses, stones, rocks, etc. Create and customize materials and decals Write a description of the necessary objects and look for a reference Participate in the development of new tools and technologies Engage in performance optimization and bug fixes What are we looking for? 2+ years of professional experience as a Level Artist creating high-quality, realistic environments for games Solid understanding of composition, lighting, color theory, and atmospheric perspective Good modeling and texturing skills Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Blender, Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter (or equivalent) Basic understanding of gameplay principles and level design Advanced English (B2) or higher, as all day-to-day communication within the team is conducted in English What additional skills will help you stand out? Experience with the photoscan process Knowledge and skills in SpeedTree Knowledge and skills in Houdini What would we like to see in your portfolio? We'd love to see a portfolio focused on realistic game environments, particularly large outdoor locations, urban areas, and natural landscapes, demonstrating strong composition, lighting, and environment dressing skills Work mode Onsite or hybrid in the office (2-3 days per week in the office) Please note: this position is open in Serbia, Lithuania, and Cyprus. We do not provide relocation support, so at the time of application you must already have the legal right to work in one of these locations . The only exception is Belgrade, where we can provide support with obtaining the necessary work authorization and documentation
