Research Fellow (Electromagnetic Imaging and Intelligent Sensing)

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in electromagnetic imaging, inverse scattering, computational imaging, and intelligent sensing.
• Develop novel theories, methodologies, and technologies for high-resolution imaging, information reconstruction, and target characterization in complex environments.
• Explore new imaging and sensing approaches that integrate physics-based models with artificial intelligence and conduct research on complex inverse problems and information reconstruction.
• Publish high-quality research outcomes in top-tier journals.
• Assist in supervising PhD students, Research Assistants, and Master students.
• Contribute to grant applications, project report writing, and laboratory operations.
• Job Requirements:
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.
• At least three years of relevant research experience in electromagnetic imaging, inverse scattering, reconfigurable metasurfaces and intelligent sensing, information reconstruction, and AI for imaging and sensing.
• Strong background in electromagnetic theory, mathematical modeling, optimization, and scientific computing.
• Experience in computational imaging, inverse problem solving, machine learning, or artificial intelligence is highly desirable.
• Excellent publication record with multiple high-quality publications in top-tier international journals as a leading contributor.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and lead research projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
