As a Material Support Handler, you will play a vital role in enabling high-quality research outcomes by ensuring the efficient operation of material handling and specialised cleaning services. Working within a small, high-performing team, you will contribute to a culture that values care, integrity, and operational excellence while supporting critical scientific work that drives meaningful discovery. Key responsibilities include: Supporting cage wash and material handling operations, including cleaning, sterilisation, and specialised equipment processing Managing waste disposal, maintaining equipment, and contributing to quality control and biosecurity practices Coordinating with internal teams and stores personnel to ensure effective supply, inventory management, and distribution Assisting with basic animal husbandry tasks and participating in rostered weekend and public holiday work (with training), as required This role involves a high level of physical activity, including lifting, pushing, and handling equipment and supplies. About You You are a dependable, hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards and contributing to meaningful research outcomes. You thrive in a team-oriented environment and bring strong organisational skills alongside a proactive and detail-focused mindset.
