As a Lead Dockworker, you'll guide a team of dock workers in daily operations, ensuring freight is handled safely, efficiently and accurately. You'll be a key player in keeping our warehouse running smoothly all while helping your team grow and succeed. What your day-to-day will look like: Lead and support the dock team in loading and unloading freight using manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure productivity, accuracy and safety standards are met Train team members on proper equipment use, safety procedures and best practices Help organize freight on the dock according to destination and priority, ensuring accurate handling and documentation Communicate clearly with dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse staff to coordinate freight movement Monitor inventory levels and assist with merchandise reconciliation Keep the dock clean, safe, and well-stocked with tools and supplies Identify and resolve operational challenges, addressing performance issues as needed At a minimum, you'll need: 4 years of warehouse experience It'd be great if you also have: High school diploma or equivalent Microsoft Office experience and proficiency Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends Excellent verbal and written communication skills Solid leadership skills; able to coach and mentor team members; Experience in a supervisory role Solid math skills and analytical ability This job requires the ability to: Lift up to 50 lbs.
