This role leads the development and execution of unscripted and scripted videos, commercial advertisements, educational media, and other creative productions. The Creative Producer is responsible for overseeing projects from concept through delivery-ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with institutional quality, branding, and content standards. What you'll do in this position: - Oversee creative video and photography projects from inception through final delivery, including pre-production, production, and post-production phases - Lead project planning efforts including budgeting, scheduling, casting, location scouting, and production design - Hire, mentor, and supervise production crews, student employees, contractors, and third-party vendors - Manage production workflows, logistics, and schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects - Serve as the primary point of contact for production-related issues and troubleshoot challenges throughout the production lifecycle - Provide creative direction and leadership during post-production, including editing, sound design, and visual finishing - Ensure all productions meet established quality standards, timelines, and approved scope - Collaborate with stakeholders to align projects with educational, marketing, and branding objectives - Oversee production documentation including releases, permits, and contracts - Support and contribute to equipment evaluation, purchasing, and maintenance What qualifies you for this role: Required - A firm commitment to the mission of BYU - Bachelor's Degree in film, photography, or a related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in film/video production, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience - Strong project coordination and production management skills - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines - Solid technical understanding of video and photography production workflows - Strong attention to detail and sound judgment - Ability to work within institutional brand standards and guidelines Preferred - Bachelors of Fine Arts or Master's Degree in film, photography, or a related field - 3-5 years of experience in film production in a supervisory role - Experience producing and directing narrative or commercial content - Experience managing creative teams in agency or agency-like environments - Experience working with external vendors and third-party production partners - Experience producing educational media for higher education - Familiarity with industry-standard editing and production tools - Knowledge of production documentation, rights management, and release processes - FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate What we offer in return: In addition to our competitive pay structure, this position comes with fantastic benefits, including: - 401k.
