Responsibilities

- Engage internal stakeholders to reinforce the importance of high-quality asset data and investment justification.
- Represent SPEN with industry stakeholders, supporting the development of network risk management and promoting SPEN's position.
- Lead asset data initiatives to enhance risk modelling capability and continuously improve asset management systems.
Requirements
- Degree educated, ideally in an engineering discipline.
- Strong knowledge of transmission networks, their technical challenges, and stakeholder requirements.
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable policies and delivery plans.
- Experience influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Strong commercial awareness of risk and value within energy networks.
- Proven leadership skills, creating direction and fostering a productive team environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, including engagement with industry bodies.
- Strong problem-solving ability with innovative thinking.
- Experience managing large-scale financial plans (c. £80m p.a.) with focus on value delivery.
- Minimum Criteria
- Degree qualified.
- Knowledge of transmission networks and associated challenges.
- Expert in the health and risk modelling of physical assets
- Engineering experience with risk and financial management.
- Experience managing both short- and long-term deliverables.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Understanding of industry health & safety requirements.
- Flexibility to travel across SPT licence areas and other locations when required.
- Competence aligned to Chartered IET membership standards.
