Description of Work The Infirmary is currently recruiting for a 2nd shift Health Care Supervisor (HCS). This position serves as a building charge and provides supervision to one Health Care Technician II and approximately seven Health Care Technician I's that directly care for people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. The HCS is responsible for overseeing individual treatment, care and programming. The HCS is responsible for ensuring that staff receive support, assistance, coaching and supplies necessary to meet the needs of the people served. The HCS ensures required documentation is completed and that the environment is monitored for infection prevention and safety issues. This position is also responsible for coordinating the monthly 2nd shift HCT schedule and ensuring staff coverage for 2nd shift on a daily basis. ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities Experience in training, supervising, and evaluating the work of others The applicant will be required to successfully complete the Murdoch Developmental Center "Basic Training Series"; which includes, but is not limited to program library training, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Techniques (NVCI), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting. Applicants must have the ability to pass a physical requirements test. Work Schedule: 2:30pm-11pm, alternating weekends and holidays. Occasional overtime may be required.
