We are hiring for a Casualty Underwriter to join our established and well-respected regional underwriting team based in Bristol, covering UK based clients. In this role, you will focus on growing our successful Contractors Combined portfolio, underwriting Casualty, Contractors All Risks and Property business as well as our general Liability book across a broad range of sectors. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and underwriting standards. Manage reinsurance requirements to support business objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, customers, and internal teams. Review portfolio performance and recommend improvements. Conduct audits of cover holder files and systems. Collaborate across teams to share strategy and best practice. Champion QBE's value as a consistent and innovative risk partner. Work cross-functionally to deliver customer-focused solutions. About you Proven experience underwriting commercial lines, especially Contractors Combined and Casualty. A good grasp of market trends affecting these classes. Skilled in building relationships, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Highly organised, with a sharp ability to prioritise for impact. Open-minded and adaptable, focused on delivering customer-centric solutions. Desirable Experience of dealing with DUA facilities and auditing would be advantageous Progress towards CII qualifications
