Responsibilities

  • *Provide clinical consultation to mental health staff.
  • *May assist the Mental Health Director in the supervision of other non-licensed psychologist, students, and other mental health practitioners.

  • *Maintain and complete paperwork, reports and other documentation according to policy and as needed and required.
  • *Maintain current Nebraska licensure.

  • Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in Psychology with clinical certification by the Nebraska Department of Health.

It also serves as the diagnostic and evaluation center for newly committed incarcerated females. Mental Health services range from intake assessments to crisis intervention and chronic care services. NCCW has a 30 bed special needs unit. Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP), Lincoln, NE: The facility opened in 1869 and is the oldest state correctional facility in Nebraska. The incarcerated population consists primarily of adult men serving sentences of varying length. Mental Health services include individual counseling, crisis assessment, group counseling, and treatment planning. Reception and Treatment Center* (RTC), Lincoln, NE: RTC is the diagnostic and evaluation center for newly committed incarcerated men. The facility houses specialized residential treatment units. Mental Health services range from intake assessments to crisis intervention, chronic care services, and residential treatment. Tecumseh State Correctional Institution* (TSCI), Tecumseh, NE: TSCI houses adult males serving sentences of varying lengths. Mental Health services include individual counseling, crisis assessment, group counseling, and treatment planning. The facility houses a restrictive housing unit and special populations. *RTC and TSCI are National Health Service Corps loan repayment sites.
