The Flight Simulator Instructor is responsible for delivering simulator and ground-based training to client pilots in accordance with approved training programmes, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. The role ensures high-quality instruction, compliance with authority approvals, and accurate documentation of training activities. Key responsibilities include: Conduct simulator instruction and training sessions in accordance with approved lesson plans and authority-approved programmes. Maintain all required personal licences, ratings, instructor privileges, and medical fitness (where applicable) to perform assigned duties. Verify the validity of all relevant authority approvals prior to conducting any training requiring the exercise of those privileges. Comply with ECFT/CAE operational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements when performing training activities. Review client Training and Checking Authorization forms prior to delivering training. Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑session simulator briefings and de‑briefings to maximise training effectiveness. Accurately identify, record, and discuss deviations from standard operating procedures (SOPs), required procedures during de‑briefings. Deliver simulator instruction on one or multiple aircraft types, which may require four or more hours of continuous simulator seating per session, excluding briefing and de‑briefing time. Deliver classroom-based instruction, including Simfinity, CBT, IPT, or stand‑up lectures, requiring extended periods of standing and/or sitting. Support the development, certification, and maintenance of training curricula and training devices, including simulators, FTDs, and FMS training aids. Attain FAA and/or EASA ground school and simulator instructor designation within approximately 12 months of assignment. Obtain qualifications required to act as an examiner and perform examiner duties under the applicable authority for the assigned aircraft fleet. Perform Right Seat Support duties when required. Complete required administrative and miscellaneous duties, including maintaining training records, tracking instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training where necessary. Prepare and inspect classroom facilities and training environments as required. Qualification :- Valid pilot licences, ratings, and instructor privileges appropriate to the assigned aircraft and training programme. Eligibility to maintain required authority approvals (e.g. FAA, EASA) to conduct simulator and ground training. Ability to comply with all regulatory, organisational, and authority-approved training requirements. Demonstrated ability to deliver simulator and classroom instruction in a professional and effective manner. Ability to sit for extended periods (four or more hours) during simulator sessions. Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours) during classroom instruction. Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
