The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO), is seeking a results-driven and service-oriented Technical Officer, Access and Regulation of Health Technologies to support countries in improving access to quality medicines and health technologies, strengthening regulatory systems, and advancing public health priorities. Under the general supervision of the PAHO/WHO Representative, and the direct supervision of the Advisor, Medicines, Health Technologies and Research (IMT), the selected candidate will: - Provide technical support for the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of technical cooperation projects and programs with national authorities and stakeholders. - Contribute to strengthening regulatory frameworks for medicines, vaccines, and health technologies in alignment with international standards. - Support the development and implementation of policies and strategies to improve access to and the rational use of medicines and health technologies. - Promote intersectoral collaboration and support national initiatives across different levels of the health system. - Support resource mobilization, planning, reporting, and knowledge management activities. - Collaborate with partners to advance innovation, knowledge sharing, and technical cooperation efforts.
