Logistics Supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 3 years or more experience as a driver or courier
• Associates degree or higher
• 3 years or more experience as a medical courier
• 3 years or more experience as a supervisor or team lead
• Additional Job Standards:
• Ability to motivate and develop team members
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Basic understanding of managing costs and an overall budget
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within an organization
• Excellent critical thinking and problem resolution skills
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the position
• Comfortable with handling lab specimens when needed
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Be at least 21 years' old

LabCorp is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to join our team in City, ST Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm; coverage on other shifts and weekends as needed Job Responsibilities: Supervise the day to day operations for West Monroe, Shreveport and surrounding area logistics department. Home base will be West Monroe with travel required to Shreveport as needed on regular basis. Manage the performance of all couriers using established performance metrics Implement and review courier routes and schedules to increase efficiencies Ensure department is properly staffed with the ability to cover all necessary routes Establish relationships with outside logistics vendors to obtain coverage when needed Generate and review daily/weekly reports and escalate any issues to leadership Ensure entire logistics staff is properly trained and any performance issues are addressed Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development Address and resolve both internal and external client issues Maintain and monitor department spend to ensure proper budget allocation Manage and maintain branch vehicles according to Corporate Fleet standards Engage in continuous process and service level improvements Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
