Scope of Position This detail-oriented, results-driven individual will play a key strategic role within the Quality Assurance and Control department as part of the tekmar quality team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Key responsibilities include systematic identification, analysis, and resolution of quality issues, with a strong focus on reducing nonconformance reports (NCRs) and minimizing customer claims and RMAs. The role also involves facilitating the creation and maintenance of quality documentation, as well as supporting production teams in maintaining the highest quality standards. This position has no direct reports. This position reports to the Quality Manager . This role is onsite and is based in Vernon, BC Canada . Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Analyze and identify trends in product nonconformance (NCRs and RMAs) to drive root cause investigations and implement effective corrective actions, ensuring comprehensive 8D documentation. Collaborate w ith Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to review and revise New Product Development (NPD) processes, ensuring that established quality standards are consistently upheld throughout. - APQP realization (DFM, FMEA), internal and external Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAI). Participate in Material Review Board activities to ensure accurate NCR and SCRAP data collection and to drive actions to reduce waste and improve operational costs-efficiency. Prepare and present together with the Quality Manager, reports for supplier quality performance, production quality performance, and customer quality data and metrics. Support to Production and Mfg. Engineering on developing and maintaining needed Quality Acceptance Criteria Standards and facilitate training to the Operations team. Working and communicating with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Planning, Operations, and other manufacturing functions. Review and action the Return Material Authorization (RMA) records in IFS on a daily basis in addition to initiating any communications with customers to manage product returns for analysis. Initiate corrective actions requests to suppliers (SCAR) as needed when nonconformance material is identified in Receiving or Production, ensuring successful closing of nonconformances with the proper documentation. Conduct process, product, and system internal audits as per annual internal audit program. Develop , and collaborate in creating & updating, quality documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, control plans, etc., to ensure the proper release and training of revised documentation. Supporting Material Inspections and dispositions. Support and assist with the implementation of the continuous improvement activities. Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned the Quality Manager or Company management. Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement & Transparency. This position has no travel requirements Required Qualifications Electronic Engineering Technical Diploma, or Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Technical Diploma 3+ years of electronic / quality control experience.
