Position Summary: We're looking for someone with a passion for Operations Leadership for a position in our Vancouver Flight Kitchen. If you have strong leadership skills and assembly / production experience this is an opportunity to take your career to the next level. You will be leading people and process in our food and tray assembly department. As we're a 24hr/day, 7 days per week operation, you must be able to work various shifts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Plan daily labour according to production requirements and productivity targets - Assign work and follow up throughout your shift to ensure your teams achieving the plan - Ensure everything your teams produce meet your internal and external customers' requirements (Quality) and are delivered on time - Responsible for safety, quality and compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures - Proactively seek opportunities to improve upon safety, quality and productivity - Play an active role in minimizing material usage - Work independently and with your peers to resolve problems in the supply chain - Responsible for training, performance evaluation, coaching, counseling and preparing corrective action for employees and liaises appropriately with HR and other support functions. - Various administrative tasks including creation / review of material requisitions, production sheets, food safety documentation, shift reports etc. Education: - High School Diploma or GED required. Work Experience: - 2+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing or logistics operation preferred - Experience leading in a unionized environment is a plus, but not required.
