About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent of Mine Services, the Supervisor, Mine operations, Drill and Blast is responsible for assigning work and supervising the Mine Blast crews in meeting production objectives in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner. Working with Engineering on pattern design, sequence planning, and loading. Working with Pit Supervisors on drill pattern prep and drill sequence. The position follows a 4x4-Day Shift schedule. Salary range: 123,000 - 152,000 CAD /year The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity. Requirements
- Valid Shift Boss certificate, Mine Operations Supervisor certification, and/or BC Open Pit Blasters Ticket
- Minimum three years demonstrated ability in an open pit mining environment
- Basic digital literacy and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite®
- Exposure to the DABS System is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent
