- Act as the subject matter expert on AML/CFT and sanctions compliance matters.
- Ensure ongoing monitoring of client activities and review alerts, escalations, and suspicious activity concerns.
- Oversee sanctions screening, adverse media reviews, and politically exposed person (PEP) assessments.
- Manage reporting obligations and liaise with relevant authorities when required.
- Advisory & Stakeholder Management
- Provide compliance advice and guidance to corporate secretarial, business development, and management teams.
- Partner with relationship managers and client service teams on complex client matters and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the key compliance contact during audits, regulatory inspections, and external reviews.
- Governance & Training
- Conduct regular compliance monitoring and internal reviews to identify potential risks and control gaps.
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management and board committees.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programmes to employees.
- Foster a strong compliance culture across the organisation.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the compliance team.
- Establish compliance objectives, KPIs, and performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and compliance effectiveness.
