Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical concepts in support of project initiatives that will aid in the advancement of PSB product lines and broaden PSB's t echnical platforms and features
• Determine electrical technical feasibility of new technology proposals
• Develop new product specificatio ns (wide range of technologies)
• Create electrical designs in support of new technology efforts
• S chematic development
• Low volume PCBA builds
• Works with Electrical and Mechanical Engineer(s) to optimize compatibility of electrical and mechan ical portions of product design
• Works closely with the project lead throughout ideation, concept devel opment, and feasibility testing
• Completes summary documentation, including research white papers
• Executes the company's Intellectual Property Strategy by recognizing and disclosing inventions and supporting patent applications
• Supports development of instruction manuals, training manuals, and other consumer service information d uring technology transfer phase
• Actively participates in and conduc ts competitive product analysis

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of electronic design e xperience
• 4 -year technical degree from an accredited institution, with an emphasis on electrical or electronic engineering
• Experience in a wide arr ay of technologies is preferred
• Self -starting, self-motivated, an d a goal-oriented team member
• Proficient user of Schematic Capture software ( Altium a plus )
• Exceptional at building and testing prototype PCBA
• Proficient user of graphical prese ntation and documentation tools
• E xcellent computer skills including knowledge of common Office software s uch as Microsoft Word and Excel
• E xcellent writte n and oral communication skills
• Possesses excellent proble m solving and analytical skills
• Has ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple project s at one time to meet deadlines
• Possesses both the ability to work independently and work with a team to accomplish tasks
• Travel both d omestically and internationally (10% )
• Accountabilities:
• Complete assigned projects according to project timelines
• Complete all project documentation
• Complete assigned projects within budget
• Executes the company's Intellectual Property Strategy by designing with the goal of patentable designs
• Ultimately accountable to the cont inued success and growth of PSB
• Relationships:
• Reports directly to Director of Engineering
• Maintains an effective working relationship w ith team members throughout PSB
• Maintains an effective working relationship with product suppliers, contract manufacturers, and contract consultan ts
