Data Center/Systems Administrator On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Data Center Systems Administrator for a contract opportunity in Hillsboro, OR. Data Center/Systems Administrator Job Details To diagnose and remediate hardware issues on deployed infrastructure To deploy systems across a variety of hardware and operating systems To assist in gathering and producing telemetry data (monitoring, reporting, alerting) To deploy/maintain system level patches and AV Develop and maintain system documentation for Iab/data center configuration and customizations. Develop and maintain system documentation for server/software configuration and customizations. Days and Hours - will be a compressed schedule Friday, Saturday and every other Monday, 12 hours a day/night. Need to be flexible to either day hours or night hours. If a holiday falls on a work day, there will be work that day. No exceptions Will be working on documentation as well as oncall for helpdesk support. Data Center/Systems Administrator Mandatory Skills 1-5 years hands on experience Self starter and highly motivated Ability to work weekends, flexible hours, and travel if needed Ability to participate in an on call rotation Background in supporting troubleshooting efforts on various degrees of hardware (servers/desktops/laptops) Windows/Linux/Mac SysAdmin skill set (RDP, SSH, read logs, etc.) VMware vSphere (VCP) certification Microsoft MCP certification on various Operation Systems Knowledge/use of SAN and storage technologies, NetApp preferred. Awareness of ITIL, AGILE, and/or DevOps best practices Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN (Switches, VLANs, Routers, VPNs, Firewalls, MPLS and Security) to assist Network team in troubleshooting and escalations.
