About the role
With an expanding project pipeline, we have an opportunity for a Principal Structural Engineer to join in our Newcastle office. Taking a role as a technical leader in a national team of Engineers & Designers, you will be involved in an incredibly broad range of projects. As a Principal Structural Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in our organization, utilizing your expertise to lead and oversee structural engineering projects and drive local market growth. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects across the Industrial, Energy and Water markets. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring all project deliverables meet high standards of quality and industry regulations. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, and clients to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions. You will apply your leadership skills to support the local team and foster a culture of creativity and innovation, whilst enabling the development of team members. About You You will be a Chartered Professional Engineer with a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering and significant demonstrated experience across heavy industrial, water or energy structures. Expertise working on brownfield industrial projects and/or undertaking structural asset management roles is desirable. Highly organised with outstanding technical and communication skills you'll have the desire and ability to lead as a Principal in the team and mentor those you work with whilst driving successful project outcomes for our clients. You will also bring a working style that embraces working collaboratively with other disciplines to bring together the best technical expertise from across the business. As well as a commitment to continuous learning and career progression, with a desire to develop and mentor junior engineers. Relevant industry knowledge, innovation and thought leadership is a must.
