  • A minimum of one (1) of the following required:
  • Graduate of an approved school of Operating Room Technologist.
  • Military trained.
  • Obstetrics (OB) assignment: Minimum of one (1) of the below requirements:
  • Current CNA License and a minimum of one (1) year on the job training in a related role.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' OB specific job-related experience.
  • Ophthalmology assignment:
  • Surgical Technologist experience.
  • Previous hospital experience with skills in a variety of cases performed preferred.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification or must successfully obtain within two (2) months of hire.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification through the certifying body of the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc. preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Join Our Surgical Technologist Team at Logan Health! Location: Logan Health Whitefish Birth Center - Whitefish, Montana Schedule: Variable Shift - Variable Hours | PRN Status This position is a member of the Labor & Delivery surgical team and provides care to the patient during the peri-operative period of obstetric procedures . Possesses knowledge and understanding of the types of procedures performed in OB, including cesarean sections and postpartum surgeries , with appropriate use of surgical instrumentation. Arranges instrumentation to achieve maximum efficiency, anticipates the needs of the surgical team, maintains the integrity of the sterile field, and participates in surgical counts. As a Surgical Technologist supporting our Labor & Delivery unit , you'll: Prepare and arrange OB-specific surgical instruments and equipment for cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and assist the team in providing efficient and safe care. Maintain a sterile field and follow aseptic technique. Collaborate with OB/GYNs, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other team members to deliver patient-centered care. Assist in patient transfer and post-op care with professionalism and compassion. Participate in surgical counts and assist with specimen handling.
