Responsibilities

- Coordinate with the equipment manager to ensure that machinery is in optimal working condition.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in mechanical work within the construction industry, with specific experience in tunneling or underground construction preferred.
- Proven track record in a supervisory role, with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team of mechanical workers.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and blueprints. Strong knowledge of SEM tunneling processes and the mechanical systems involved.
- Deep understanding of safety regulations and best practices, particularly in the context of tunneling and underground construction. Certification in safety management or related fields is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with engineers, site managers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop solutions to complex mechanical challenges.
- Must be willing to register as a member of the local union.
