Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of maritime projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, work breakdown structures, project schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, technical, procurement, operations, IT, vendors, shipyards, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage vessel retrofit, marine engineering, digitalisation, navigation, communication, automation, or fleet improvement projects.
  • Monitor project progress through regular reporting, project reviews, KPI tracking, and stakeholder updates while proactively resolving project issues.
  • Manage project budgets, cost control, procurement activities, contract administration, and change management to achieve financial targets.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with company policies,maritime regulations, and safety standards.
  • Liaise with shipowners, ship management companies, classification societies, equipment manufacturers, and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution.
  • Ensure proper project documentation, lessons learned, technical reports, acceptance testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities are completed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies, governance, and best practices while mentoring junior project engineers and coordinators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience within the maritime, offshore, marine engineering, shipbuilding, or ship management industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, budgeting, scheduling tools (e.g.,Microsoft Project), risk management, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced international maritime environment.
