Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, support, and develop a team of approximately 16 employees across multiple skill levels

- Monitor tooling performance and drive proactive solutions to minimize downtime and improve output
- Technical Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and problem-solving support
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD designs
- Lead initiatives such as 5S, process improvements, and workflow optimization
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture and operational discipline
Requirements
- Required:
- Licensed Mould Maker (431A) or Tool & Die Maker (430A) (Red Seal considered an asset)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mould/die shop or manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years of experience supporting or leading technical teams
- Strong technical expertise in machining, tooling, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Preferred:
- Experience in injection moulding or plastics manufacturing
- Familiarity with CNC, EDM, hot runners, or CAD programming
- Experience in high-volume production or fast-paced environments

The compensation for this role is between $71,000 - $88,500 CAD annually, based on experience and qualifications.
