In the role, the successful candidate will: Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements Analyse existing systems, workflows, and data flows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement Produce high‑quality functional specifications, technical specifications, data mapping, and process documentation Participate in solution design and architecture discussions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and target architecture Work closely with developers, QA, architecture, and infrastructure teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly Investigate and triage production incidents, defects, and performance issues Identify and recommend enhancements that improve system performance, stability, or user experience Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date system documentation, process maps, configuration details, and user guides Ensure solutions comply with IT standards, security policies, data protection requirements, and financial‑services regulatory frameworks About you We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills: A minimum of 5 years experience with a proven track record of working in a technically complex environment Demonstrable achievements in managing & delivering solutions to complex business requirements Very strong technical skills and a desire to progress to becoming a lead technical analyst/architect Strong experience in systems analysis, technical design, solutions development and deployment with a proven track record of playing a key role Ability to maintain productive and cordial relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at various levels of seniority across the organisation Experience in working with 3rd party system solution providers Knowledge of financial markets and particularly Wealth Management systems an advantage Knowledge of business intelligence and development tools such as Python, Power BI, SQL query skills A proven track record of working in multi-disciplined project environments Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills working in a pressurised environment dealing with time critical issues An ability to prioritise workloads and achieve critical deadlines Experience of drafting comprehensive test scripts & use cases and executing test plans Strong facilitation and influencing skills A relevant Third Level degree (or equivalent) Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies Experience working with a CRM is advantageous Experience working within the financial services industry is required Proficiency in Business Process Mapping techniques; supporting accreditations (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN) are an advantage Project Management certification such as PRINCE2 or PMP is an advantage.
