Sterilization Tech

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

Requirements

• Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
• X-ray certification where state regulations specify

• This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, leaning, and bending. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 5 PM and Friday 8 AM - 2 PM Compensation: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour based on experience
