Supports the organization's data protection and privacy compliance program across APAC.Assist in ensuring that personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and company policies. Works closely with the Global PPAI team to monitor compliance, raise awareness across the organization, and support contract reviews for vendors and clients. Responsibilities: Data Protection 1. Data Protection Compliance Monitor and maintain the statutory registrations and filings required in countries, e.g., Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, China, and such other countries where there are registration requirements Support internal compliance reviews Support incident and data breach escalation processes Assist in reviewing privacy notices and consents 2. Data Protection Impact Assessments Support the preparation and recording of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) for new projects or systems involving personal data. Identify potential privacy risks and recommend mitigation measures. 3. Training & Awareness Managing data protection awareness programs and training sessions for NIQ associates globally 4. Review of DPA Assist in reviewing data processing agreements with vendors and clients Monitor third-party compliance with organizational data protection requirements. 5. Data Subject Requests Support handling of data subject access requests (DSARs) and ensure requests are processed within required timelines. 6. Supporting Translations Assists in advising on responsible, lawful, and ethical use of AI in line with internal policies. Responsibilities: AI Governance & Compliance Support implementation and maintenance of internal AI governance frameworks , policies, and standards. Assist in monitoring updates to AI-related laws and guidance (e.g. AI Act, local AI governance frameworks). Understanding of basic AI concepts IAPP certification, University degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or relevant field. Strong interest in data privacy and data protection laws Relevant experience or exposure to compliance, governance, risk or regulatory role Basic knowledge of personal data protection laws and familiarity with privacy frameworks or standards and information security principles is an advantage Strong language skills, English, Vietnamese, and or, another Asian language would be an advantage Ability to work with cross-functional teams Experience working in a regional or multinational environment
