Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). Substance/Addictions Assessment. Critical Incident Stress Management. Adult Education Theory/Training. Organizational Dynamics/Management. Coaching/HR Policy. Understanding of Senate structure/culture. Knowledge of conflict resolution, intervention, stress management and modern counseling principles and practice. Desired Qualifications Exceptional clinical judgment and counseling expertise. Strong crisis management and problem-solving abilities. The ability to establish rapport quickly and effectively with diverse populations. Excellent communication, presentation, and consultation skills. Working Conditions Since this position requires onsite presence in support of the U.S. Senate when in session, this position requires the employee to be available and prepared to work during a lapse, in inclement weather, on holidays, and during late night, overnight, and weekend sessions. In the context of government furloughs, this position is considered excepted. This position directly supports essential services of the U.S. Senate.
