POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY: The Utility position is the first point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment. This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements. Pressure washing carts and garbage trucks Site cleanup/ litter pick-up Helping and interacting with customers Manual labor including landscaping/ weed eating Greet and direct customers upon entry to transfer station Calculate payments for customers Input weight information into system for customer payments Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material Approaching all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner Various other utility tasks as needed Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change . POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver's License with Clean driving record. Pass Criminal Background Check, Drug panel Screening, and Motor Vehicle Report At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position. Experience operating equipment is a plus Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift Mechanical ability a plus. The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift. . WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Exposed to different weather year round. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects of up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus.
