Casual Junior Hospitality Assistant

About the role

Our Lagoon Street site is situated in the Bega Valley Shire and is the original site of Bega Cheese. Located on the beautiful Sapphire coast, far south coast of NSW, Lagoon Street is still producing Australia's favourite cheese products - cheddar cheese, string cheese as well as butter. An opportunity has arisen for a customer-focused junior to join the Bega Cheese Heritage Centre's team. The Heritage Centre operates 7 days a week, providing café-style food, tourism retail & information services in a typically fast-paced environment, where first-class customer service levels are critical to success. The successful appointee will work on a casual basis which will include some weekends & school holidays. On the job training will be provided for those who are enthusiastic & willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• To assist with retail sales & other customer service support activities and provide exceptional customer service to ensure that our visitors enjoy a positive & memorable experience, whilst advocating the Bega brand.
• Organise, cook, prepare, present & provide a range of fresh, creative cafe style food & beverages with a focus on local products.
• Stock Control and merchandising.
• Provide support to other team members
• Monitoring and compliance of relevant industry, food safety, WH & S requirements & operational policies and procedure
• About you
• Previous experience in hospitality, tourism or related environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer-focused and a team player
• A flexible, reliable, energetic, & resilient nature
• Sound literacy & numeracy skills
