About the role

We are hiring a Product Owner II to lead product ownership for SIU / Fraud capabilities with a near-term focus on Major Case within Lumen. This role sits at the center of business strategy, user workflow design, and technology delivery, translating investigative needs into clear priorities, driving tradeoff decisions, and shaping capabilities that improve investigator effectiveness, delivery quality, and business outcomes. It is a high-leverage role for someone who can operate across ambiguity, influence decisions across stakeholders, and turn complex fraud and investigation problems into usable products. Lead the strategy and execution for SIU software product capabilities that improve fraud detection, investigative effectiveness, and operational decision quality across multiple business lines. Own a complex product space that includes cross-team coordination, dependency management, and roadmap tradeoffs across data, workflow, analytics, and third-party integrations. Partner closely with engineering, data science, operations, claims leadership, and external vendors to deliver measurable outcomes in fraud mitigation, investigator productivity, compliance, and platform scalability. This role is accountable not only for backlog quality and delivery execution, but also for establishing decision frameworks, sequencing investments, and aligning stakeholders around a coherent SIU capability strategy. Success requires balancing immediate needs with longer-term platform health, model performance, regulatory constraints, and portfolio-level priorities. The Product Owner II influences outcomes across squads and partner teams through structured prioritization, clear communication, and disciplined tradeoff management Key Responsibilities: Own and prioritize the software product backlog for SIU / Fraud capabilities, with emphasis on Major Case and adjacent investigation workflows within Lumen. Partner with SIU business leaders, engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to define product outcomes, translate needs into epics and user stories, and make scope and tradeoffs explicit. Lead product discovery and delivery for complex workflow, data, and user experience problems, ensuring releases are aligned to business value, operational needs, and technical feasibility. Maintain alignment across squads and stakeholders by clarifying priorities, dependencies, risks, and release decisions. Represent the voice of the user and the business in Agile delivery, while helping the team stay focused on the highest-value work. Contribute to roadmap thinking beyond immediate sprint execution by connecting tactical delivery to longer-term capability evolution across SIU / Fraud. Ideal Candidate: The strongest candidate brings Claims product or process ownership, or similar experience in a complex operational or regulated environment and knows how to balance business value, user needs, and technical constraints. They are strong at gathering inputs, synthesis, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment, but more importantly they exercise good judgement: they can identify the decision, expose tradeoffs, and move work forward in ambiguous conditions. General critical attributes are structured thinking, strong partnership with engineering and business leaders, comfort with dependency management, and the ability to translate complex problems into actionable product direction. The right person is pragmatic, credible with stakeholders, and able to confidently drive progress. This role may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location. Qualifications Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management as typically acquired through a Bachelors` degree in relevant field (business, computer science, humanities etc.) and a minimum of 3 to 5 years direct experience with agile teams as well as 7 years in business, technology, or consulting. Able to depict and explain the importance of complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; educate SBU/department(s) on business vision and plan and the impact of change. Able to influence a diverse group of stakeholders; strong leadership skills. Able to make difficult and quick decisions daily.
