Responsibilities

  • Lead technical design, planning, and execution for large-scale initiatives that span multiple systems in their product domains.
  • Assess and execute trade-off decisions between performance, scalability, maintainability, and cost.
  • Define and deliver technical stories that improve the integrity, performance, and long-term sustainability of shared systems.
  • Conduct architectural reviews with the broader Staff group and proactively identify areas for simplification, modernization, and risk reduction.
  • Mentor and develop engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and technical coaching.
  • Champion consistency in design patterns, operational excellence, and engineering best practices across teams.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation - modeling curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated advanced expertise in multiple software engineering disciplines and ability to apply that expertise to solve complex, cross-domain problems.

Benefits

This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. *This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East Coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte area offices. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.
