About the Position: Serves as Chief, Civil Works Branch, with oversight responsibility for the programs and project management activities related to the execution of the District's large, complex and diversified Civil Works program. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing and directing project management and/or technical staff in the planning, design and/or construction of large civil works projects; leading multi-discipled teams including engineering, construction, contracting environmental, real estate and/or resource management functions; representing an organization, on all technical matters, to high level internal and external contacts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). As part of the assessment process, your resume will be evaluated using a competency-based method. This structured evaluation measures your qualifications, experience, and skills against the core competencies required for the position. Final scores will determine whether you are referred to the Hiring Manager for further consideration You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Administration Leadership Oral Communication Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
