About the role

As a CHISVA, you will provide trauma-informed emotional and practical support to children, young people, and their families who have been impacted by sexual abuse or sexual violence. Together, we provide specialist support to anyone in the county affected by sexual abuse or sexual violence, helping them to understand their options, liaising with other services and advocating for and supporting them through the criminal justice process. Our CHISVAs play a vital role in ensuring children and young people receive the tailored, trauma-informed support they need, both emotionally and practically. We are delighted to be recruiting for a Project Worker in Gloucestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to join Barnardo's and become part of a passionate, experienced, and supportive team making a real difference to children and young people. The successful candidate will work as a Children's Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (CHISVA) within the Gloucestershire ISVA Service. You will receive fully funded, on-the-job CHISVA training delivered by Lime Culture, alongside a comprehensive induction programme, regular line management, case management, and clinical supervision to support your development and wellbeing.
