Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are a Japanese majority-owned company specializing in the design and manufacture of advanced waste storage systems at our factory in Japan. Our system includes IoT technology. Our clients include shopping malls, commercial premises, tertiary institutions, and other large-scale establishments. Job Summary As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation of our waste storage systems by installing equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting system components. Comprehensive training will be provided both in-house and in Japan.

Responsibilities

• Install waste storage system equipment accurately at client sites to meet operational standards
• Perform preventive maintenance on system components to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Conduct corrective maintenance and repairs to resolve system faults promptly
• Troubleshoot technical issues in system components to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Collaborate with team members and work independently to support client needs and maintain system reliability
• Travel locally and occasionally to Japan to provide on-site technical support and training
• Required competencies and certifications
• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent
• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Conversational ability in Japanese to facilitate communication during training and site visits in Japan
