Interdisciplinary Environmental Engineer / Physical Scientist

About the role

You will serve as Environmental Engineer/Physical Scientist in the NAVFAC Headquarters Environmental Division. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as project manager for complex Navy environmental compliance projects, such as development of contractor scopes of work/performance work statements, government estimates for contracting, contractor funds management, contractor proposal review and negotiation, contractor oversight, invoicing, and contracting officer representative (COR) duties; 2) Providing guidance, coordination and technical expertise on complex Navy environmental cmpliance4 issues and processes; and 3) Experience with Federal, state, and local laws and regulations, DON and DOW policies and processes related to environmental compliance.
