About the role
The successful candidate will be the contextual owner of all new deal progression from the point a rental agreement has been reached between tenant and landlord. You will work with our front office Lettings teams across Berkhamsted, Redbourn, Harpenden, St Albans, Welwyn Garden City and Hitchin to smoothly progress deals to a point that they can be passed to our centralised Asset Management team, at which point they will continue the process and look after all parties for the duration of the contract. This role requires a highly compliant and organised individual, who can offer excellent customer service when interacting with Tenants and Landlords as well business partnering with our Front Office Lettings, Lettings Accounts and Asset Management Teams. You will be well versed in Lettings legalisation and compliance. The position allows for you to work alongside other team members offering them support and guidance to help the team grow and succeed. This role can be hybrid or office based, depending on your aspirations. The hybrid model would see you in one of our offices 3 day per week and 2 days working from home. However, we envisage the first 3 months being purely office based, while you transition into the Ashtons way of working, and learning our systems and processes.
Requirements
- Non-essential but highly desirable would be a Level 3 Technical Award in Residential Lettings and Management qualification
- Applicant's Skillset:
- Naturally organised and highly compliant. You will be required to progress multiple lettings deals across multiple offices at any one time.
- A high understanding of lettings legislation, including consumer acts and marketing regulations.
- A high understanding of the legal requirements regarding gas and electrical checks and safety.
- A working knowledge of lettings contracts, terminology and how such deals can be structured.
- Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Lettings department covering either a front office Lettings position or Property Management position, which involves the processes and experience above.
- You will be a natural problem solver, who can manage both colleagues and client's expectations in a positive new paradigm way.
- You will possess excellent communication skills, when interacting with our front office lettings teams, asset management team and clients.
