Early Education Teacher Assistant-Infant Program

Requirements

• ▪ High school diploma or equivalent;
• Must meet one of the following:
• Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 1 or 2 , or
• CDA plus 12 months experience, or
• State Board-approved Human Services Program Certificate plus 12 months experience, or
• Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals or Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate plus 12 months experience, or
• 3‑credit college course in child/human development or school‑age education plus 12 months experience.
• ▪ Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
• ▪ Knowledge of child development and classroom safety standard
• ▪ Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• ▪ Ability to follow lesson plans and support the Certified Teacher effectively
• ▪ Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education
• ▪ Experience or interest in sustainability, environmental education, or eco‑conscious classroom practices
