Building Attendant Leader - Weekend Night

Responsibilities

• Unlocking/Locking & General Cleaning:
• Ensure work is performed according to established procedures.
• Maintain work schedules and ensure staff complete assigned tasks.
• Provide direction during assignments.
• Work overtime as required.
• Leadership:
• Serve as on-duty supervisor for weekend night shift.
• Assign, schedule, and coordinate work of Building Attendants.
• Inspect areas to ensure correct and timely completion.
• Provide clear communication and feedback.
• Abides by Work Rules:
• Follow all UT policies and custodial procedures.
• Maintain professional appearance and punctuality.
• Attend mandatory training.
• Maintain positive performance record.
• Administrative:
• Prepare documentation including logs, reports, AiM entries, training records.
• Meet deadlines; provide coaching/redirection as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Safety and Repair:
• Use PPE and safety equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines; report issues.
• Operate custodial equipment and UT vehicles safely.
• Maintain valid Texas Class-C driver's license and UT driver rating.
• Perform Work Orders including event setup and on-duty support.
• Respond to emergencies (e.g., floods).
• Perform mandatory overtime when needed.

The Building Attendant Leader (BAL) is responsible for overseeing, assigning, and coordinating the work of Building Attendants. This position leads the weekend night shift, ensuring proper unlocking and locking of buildings and rooms, custodial cleaning, safety compliance, security procedures, and handling of special assignments.
