Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Developers and Product Owners to understand testing requirements and objectives .
• Develop BDDs, test cases and test scripts based on User Stories and Acceptance Criteria .
• Execute test cases and document test results, identifying and prioriti s ing defects for resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Communicate effectively with project team members to ensure timely delivery of testing activities.
• Provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Jest for functional and regression testing.
• Utili s e Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) and ensure alignment between technical and business requirements.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure DevOps to integrate and execute automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct testing for Workday applications, ensuring data integrity, functionality, and performance.
• MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing as an Automation Test Engineer or SDET.
• Proficiency in either Java or JavaScript .
• Hands-on experience with Selenium for test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to priorit i s e and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
• Experience using JIRA Software for test case management and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Knowledge or experience with Automated Testing frameworks and tools.
• Experience with Cucumber for BDD and test automation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure DevOps
• Experience testing Workday applications or similar enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps processes.
