Process Engineer for Pulp, Energy Circularity Business Line (based in Chennai, India) Are you the enthusiastic, self-driven and result-oriented professional who wants to move our customer's performance forward? We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our team, with a primary focus on working as a Comos Application Engineer . In this role, you will be responsible for designing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using the Comos database tool. Your daily tasks will include preparing P&I drawings based on diagrams, schematics, piece parts, and equipment information. You will combine data from sketches, drawings, and blueprints to perform necessary calculations, as well as update and redraw P&IDs in connection with engineering change orders. Interpreting data, instructions, and specifications-from previous layouts, sketches, notes, or verbal guidance-will be an essential part of ensuring accuracy and quality. You will work independently to deliver P&I drawings that support engineering and product development projects. While the work follows established processes and methods, you will collaborate closely with process engineers across Valmet's various technologies. Your assignments will span sales projects, customer order projects, and development initiatives, offering broad exposure to Valmet's business and operations. What we expect from you An engineering degree. 1-2 years of experience working with Comos , preferably within the process industry. Strong communication skills in English , both written and spoken. Additional language skills are considered an asset. A structured, accurate, and proactive way of working. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Interest in learning, problem-solving, and managing tasks under pressure while maintaining high quality.
