Responsibilities

  • Monitor and authorize the entrance of employees, visitors, and others to maintain campus security.
  • Patrol the grounds and perimeter; observe for unusual activity or safety hazards; secure doors and windows.
  • Control and enforce vehicle and pedestrian access throughout campus grounds.
  • Monitor staff parking lots for compliance with parking policies.
  • Respond to door alarms, elopement alerts, and fire alarms; investigate and take appropriate action.
  • Assist during emergencies and contact police, fire departments, or other emergency responders as needed.
  • Receive, inspect, and sign for courier packages, mail, and deliveries.

  • Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) cameras and dispatch responses to alarms, alerts, and suspicious activities.
  • Assist with equipment checks and basic operational support in mechanical rooms as needed.
  • Respond to after-hours maintenance calls to assess and communicate needs.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide high-level customer service.
  • JOB DETAILS
  • Pay Rate: $22.85-$26.71 per hour
  • Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
  • Shift Schedule: Day | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current and valid California Guard Card required.
  • Three (3) years of security guard experience preferred; healthcare experience a plus.
  • Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or control room preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with residents, staff, visitors, and volunteers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Flexible schedule availability.
  • Ability to multitask and remain attentive at assigned post.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to patrol campus grounds regularly and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to respond quickly to alarms and emergency situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
