Senior Backend Engineer - Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (L3/L4) to join our Platform Team and help evolve the core architecture of IP Fabric's product. You will work hands‑on in the codebase, drive architectural improvements, and enable other engineering teams through a stronger, more scalable platform. This is a high‑impact IC role requiring strong backend engineering skills, architectural thinking, and the ability to collaborate closely with Product and other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, refactor, and evolve core platform components
• Drive architectural improvements to reduce technical debt and improve scalability and stability
• Own platform initiatives from problem definition to delivery
• Improve build, deployment, and operational workflows
• Collaborate closely with Product to translate business goals into technical roadmap items
• Mentor and support other engineers through technical leadership and clear communication

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with TypeScript / Node.js
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Redis
• Proven experience refactoring and maintaining existing production systems
• Experience with on‑prem and cloud deployments
• Ability to work independently and identify what needs to be done
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Valid VISA to work in Czechia / EU
• Bonus Points If You Have
• Experience in platform or enablement teams
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipeline and deployment experience
• Interest in developer experience and internal tooling
