AECOM is seeking a Wastewater Engineer with experience in Biosolids to join our Water & Wastewater team in Burnaby, BC. This is a unique opportunity to step into a senior leadership role delivering high-profile municipal wastewater and biosolids infrastructure projects that support the growth and environmental stewardship of communities across British Columbia. With your experience in municipal wastewater and solids treatment, you bring strong technical expertise in biosolids process evaluation, design, equipment integration, project delivery, and commissioning. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, partner with clients and regulators, and work alongside AECOM's local and national wastewater specialists to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions. Responsibilities include: Assist AECOM biosolids design on a key and once in a generation project. Supports, oversees, and coordinates engineering activities in the area of Biosolids Technology. Mentoring and guiding staff and project managers on technical solutions in the area of Biosolids Technology on projects. Understanding project requirements and recommend solutions required in the in the area of Biosolids Technology. Recognized expert in technical leadership within their domain or specialty area, serving as the primary technical leader for their business area. Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications to ensure AECOM remains a leader in emerging technologies, delivery methods, funding mechanisms, geopolitical issues, and/or other industry drivers. Uses creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented technical problems. Provides technical expertise to region business line, market sector and business development teams, suggesting approaches and differentiators where applicable. Provides visible industry and technical leadership within and outside of AECOM. Minimum Requirements BS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental Mechanical Engineering 6+ years of demonstrated experience in Biosolids Technology. Professional Engineers License or ability to obtain within 6 months. Lead process design for anaerobic digestion and biosolids handling systems on municipal wastewater treatment plant expansion and upgrade projects.
