Salary Range $34.34-$45.50 Job Posting End Date - Applications will no longer be accepted starting Job Summary STARTING SALARY: Civil Engineer I: $28.28 - $36.07 hourly, depending on qualifications Civil Engineer II: $28.90 - $38.30 hourly, depending on qualifications Civil Engineer III: $31.51 - $41.75 hourly, depending on qualifications Civil Engineer IV: $34.34 - $45.50 hourly, depending on qualifications Performs professional engineering work in the design or review of engineering plans and specifications for the construction of streets, sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, traffic signals, and parking facilities. Performs professional engineering work in the field of traffic studies including traffic data analysis and warrant studies. Responsible for the analysis and documentation of crash data for all areas within City limits and directs technicians in the deployment of traffic collection equipment. Prepare designs and specifications for construction and/or are responsible for the review of plans submitted by engineering consulting firms to ensure construction is compliant with City of Orlando standards and engineering principles, methods, and techniques. Work assignments are received from a professional supervisor who defines the scope of the work to be performed, but the employee is expected to plan details of work and make technical decisions. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion.
